My Philosophy

In a world filled with interpersonal and systemic challenges and injustices, the role of therapy is to support each other to live with connection and one's full humanity. I believe in the innate dignity, humanity, and capacity of each person to face life's challenges while remaining connected to self and others. Full-hearted therapy gently un-layers the pain that causes internal injury, helping us find a profound sense of connection within ourselves and with those we care about. This process is about turning toward our own and others' full humanity.

Deep Brain Reorienting

Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) is an advanced, body-based trauma therapy developed by Frank Corrigan MD. It targets the deep midbrain structures responsible for the body's immediate, often pre-verbal, response to threat and disconnection. Unlike many traditional therapies, DBR uses the brain's own natural sequences to gently access and process core traumatic wounds, including those from early childhood or pre-verbal experiences, without requiring the client to recount detailed traumatic memories. This approach is designed to be efficient and deeply effective, leading to lasting relief from emotional pain, a stronger sense of self, and greater inner clarity.
